Richard Mille rep — is the skeleton movement view real?
Yes, you see the actual gear train. The rep uses a Miyota 9015 base with skeletonized bridges and plates so the movement is visible through both the dial-side (partial view) and case-back sapphire. Rotor and escape wheel are visible. Not the RM71-01 caliber but architecturally close enough.
Tonneau case fit — 6" wrist wearable?
The RM 011 tonneau is 50mm long × 42mm wide. Below 6.75" wrist, the length overhangs and looks costume. RM 055 Bubba is smaller (49.94mm × 42.7mm), fits down to 6.5". WhatsApp us a wrist ruler photo — for RM reps this actually matters.
KV factory vs BBR — RM rep differences?
KV nails the movement architecture and the skeleton view. BBR nails the case machining and the Quartz TPT / Carbon TPT composite look. If you'll be showing off the movement (dial-side skeleton), go KV. If you'll be answering "what material is that case?", go BBR.
RM 27-04 Nadal blue-red rep — how visible are the tennis-string details?
The strap is silicone with a tennis-string weave pattern printed, not woven. From 2 feet away, it reads correctly. Up close, a genuine RM 27-04 has actual polyester tennis strings routed through the strap — the rep does not. Otherwise the case, dial, and hand shape are 1:1.
Is $385-465 too cheap for a Richard Mille rep to be good?
For entry-level RM reps, this is the right price. Above $600, batches often include titanium case (real, not composite) — that's when you get closer to genuine weight. Below $300, corners get cut on the skeleton architecture and it looks like plastic. $385-465 is the sweet spot for casual/streetwear-wear.
